MCC Workshop on the Modelling of Point Defects 

We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a “Workshop on the Modelling of Point Defects” on the 9th – 11th January 2024 at Lancaster University. The Workshop will cover all aspects of the simulation of point defects, including different approaches (encompassing DFT, QM/MM and empirical methods), to post processing and analysis of simulation results and drawing comparisons with experiment. In addition to presentations, the Workshop will feature discussions about best practice for point defect simulations/analysis and identifying future opportunities in this domain.
